Join South St. Paul Mayor Jimmy Francis along with South St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights Faith Communities for the 2nd Annual IGH/SSP Prayer Breakfast. With a theme of A Morning of Hope, on Thursday, May 1 at 7 AM at Luther Memorial Church, 315 15th Avenue North, South St. Paul. The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. The breakfast’s goal is to unite our diverse communities, and provide wisdom, protection and favor over our cities and our leaders. Here, a safe space is provided where people of all backgrounds can come together to seek guidance, offer gratitude, and build a stronger, more connected city through the power of prayer.
